AVS stands for Auto Ventshade. Their Ventvisor line is the best selling vent visor kit sold in North America. All of their products are made in the USA and come with a limited lifetime warranty. AVS rain guards are molded to fit the window perfectly, are a smoked black color similar to limo tint, and have strong 3M automotive grade tape pre-applied to the visor for an easy installation. AVS vent visors are made of a higher grade material than most rain guards, which means they hold their color and are just the right thickness to be strong yet flexible for a perfect fit. In our experience, AVS makes the best fitting and looking rain guards that money can buy.

Putco Element Window Visors are the other brand of vent visors that we have chosen to carry. Putco is a reliable company and we offer a variety of their products with the Window Visors being one of them. Where the competition offers both in-channel and outside mount vent visors, Putco has focused on the in-channel design for the Element Window Visors. Putco chrome vent visors are constructed of ABS plastic, which is designed to address the rigors of the elements while still providing a beatiful finish.

Outside mount visors stick directly to the door just above the window and follow the contour of the window down to the mirror. Depending on the vehicle they may tuck under the mirror, stick to the outside of the mirror, or end mid way down the mirror. In-Channel mount visors mount inside the window channel with the window and have the exact shape of the window channel.

On a few vehicles because of the mirror or door trim it is not possible to mount visors to the outside so AVS will only offer the in-channel style. Visa versa on some vehicles there is just not enough room for visors inside the channel so they only offer the outside mount style. For everything else they offer both styles so the buyer can chose.

For the majority of vehicles, Putco offers the in-channel style; however, they too offer the outside mount style for select models.

In-channel visors are harder to install and if they are not positioned perfectly may catch on the window as it rolls up. In channel visor kits that are not installed correctly usually end up cracked or broken which is not covered under warranty. Because of this, we always recommend the outside mount style when available. They are much easier to install and always fit perfectly. If installed properly the tape will not come unstuck but in the event they were not properly installed new tape can be applied and the visor reinstalled without purchasing a new set.
